2026 VPMA Lobby Day a Success!

 On February 18, 2026, the Virginia Podiatric Medical Association held a successful Lobby Day in Richmond. Drs. Ushita Patel, Bob Toomey, and Luke Vetti met with several key legislators and staff, including Sen. Danica Roem, Sen. Christie Craig, Del. Lee Ware, Sen. Glen Sturtevant, Del. Josh Thomas, and Del. Jay Leftwich’s office, to discuss important legislation and highlight the mission and value of podiatric medicine in Virginia. 

These meaningful conversations helped strengthen relationships and ensure the voice of podiatric physicians is heard at the General Assembly. 

We look forward to building on this momentum with another Lobby Day in 2027 and encourage even more members to join us in advocating for our profession!
