The VPMA offers a program specifically for Medical Assistants that includes speakers that cover all aspects of medical assisting, to explain the conditions DPMs treat, the tools and instrumentation they use, as well as leadership development and office administration/regulatory compliance. The purpose of this course is to certify individuals to complete X-rays in a safe and effective manner. The process includes course attendance, a written examination, and documentation of completion of 20 foot and 20 ankle X-rays assisted by the practitioner. Upon completion, individuals are instructed to seek licensure with the Virginia Board of Medicine as a Radiologic Technologist-limited. Register using the form below. The course will be held Saturday morning. Participants will have a two-hour window to complete the exam on Sunday, with the option to begin anytime between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM.
