The Virginia Podiatric Medical Association has been approved by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education as a provider of continuing education in podiatric medicine. The Virginia Podiatric Medical Association has approved this activity for a maximum of 25 continuing education contact hours.

The VPMA offers a program specifically for Medical Assistants! The program will be held on Friday, August 15 (8AM - 5PM) and Saturday, August 16 (8AM - 12PM).  Attending a podiatry conference is crucial for medical assistants for several reasons:

The purpose of this course is to certify individuals to complete X-rays in a safe and effective manner. The process includes course attendance, a written examination, and documentation of completion of 20 foot and 20 ankle X-rays assisted by the practitioner. Upon completion, individuals are instructed to seek licensure with the Virginia Board of Medicine as a Radiologic Technologist-limited.
